About the event

EXILIO’S LATINX PRIDE PARADE AND 12 HOURS AFTER LATINX FESTIVAL AND PARTY WITH EXILIO LONDON AND LADY OLE Join us for the UK’s biggest Latinx Festival Parade in Pride London which is expecting 2 Million visitors this year and 12 Hour after Latinx Festival at Leak Street; a massive 1,200 capacity venue on Saturday 2 July 2022, 4 pm – 4 am. At the Pride in London Parade, Exilio London will be representing the Latinx LGBTQ+ community. Exilio will parade through the city with a Carnival Butterfly Troupe. Artistic Director Julio Manozalba, chose the theme “BUTTERFLY” as a symbol of hope, transformation, and a post-pandemic new beginning. Behind the Exilio float, we have pre-hispanic giant puppets accompanied by Colombian traditional dancers “SOMOS CHIBCHAS” and Brazilian drummers “BAQUE DE AXÉ”; a London-based band playing traditional Maracatu Carnival percussion. On the decks with the best Latin hits, we have Exilio's resident DJ and international sensation DJ G, one of London's top female DJs, and beside her Dj Don Omar. Performing on the Exilio float will be Roce 40 the Latin-owned record label bringing Carnaval Bangers Bora Bora & Tiki Taka songs featuring P Man, Guala, Don Jaga Jonan, and La Famosa. Alongside them we also have London’s Latin superstar Sachellys, Inspired by the sounds of salsa legends and mixing it with a splash of R&B Sachellys created her own sound as a Colombian straight outta London.

The Latinx Float will be displaying all the colorful and vibrant colors of Latin Pride making it the most captivating of floats.

After the parade Exilio will be joined by the rest of the Baque de Axé group, about 40 more drummers which will take us to the second part of the day...THE EXILIO LATINX STAGE. We will be marching towards a beautiful Mural in Leak Street designed by @los_vagos_art and inspired by Exilio's theme MARIPOSAS. Jordan the artist is concentrating his art on the solitude we lived throughout the pandemic and how we are coming out to a new beginning, his art will be showing visibility, unity, equality, intergeneration, and the fact that the pandemic made us stronger!

The venue for the Exilio Latinx Stage and after-party, EXILIO ORGULLO LATINO, is at 26 Leak Street. A unique award-winning venue in the historic Leak Street graffiti tunnels. With three renovated railway arches underneath Waterloo station and holding a capacity of more than 1,200 people, this is a hidden gem located in SE1.

The Exilio Latinx Stage in collaboration with Carnal Latino UK, will bring Latin American artists together to celebrate our rich cultural heritage from 4 pm - 9 pm and is celebrating Unity, our Latin Roots, and the fact that we are contributing talented immigrants. Showcasing some of the best UK Latin artists/dancers covering all genres (Folk, Tango, Samba, and Urban).

Exilio takes over two arches dedicated to Latin Carnival Beats, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Latin Pop, Latin House, and with a row of National and International Latin Djs, Drag Queen shows, whilst Lady Olé takes over Arch Three; Lady Olé maintaining a strong emphasis on bringing the Spanish community together and showcasing its music to people from all backgrounds.
